The HookSafe™ Retractable Safety syringe is a single-use manual retractable safety syringe that incorporates both anti-needlestick and reuse-prevention functionalities. The HookSafe™’s unique feature which makes it stand out from other competitors’ products is that once the needle is retracted inside the syringe barrel, it will remain angulated and refrains from protruding out again. The safety retraction mechanism is activated by the engagement of medical grade stainless steel hook on the tip the plunger to the needle hub. The cost is considerable lower than any other safety syringe on the market. The physical appearance is almost identical to traditional disposable syringe hence only minimal training is required for medical professionals.
