Biotop to relocate to Shanghai (Mar.07.2007)

Biotop Technology Co., Ltd., a company that specializes in designing and manufacturing of advanced medical devices will officially move its headquarters from Taipei to the new Chang Ning business district in Shanghai city on April 1, 2007.

The move is a direct result of the growing demand of Biotop’s advanced products in China and concludes a series of strategic changes to the Biotop corporate structure to accommodate the demand. Biotop will also strengthen its research and development capabilities through additional hiring and expand existing partnership while continue to expand manufacturing capacity to fulfill the market demand and to capture the rapidly expanding market.

The relocation of the headquarters will also enable Biotop to service customers more effectively. On the other hand, Taiwan will continue to be a strategic location for Biotop in regard to its regional focus.

“Shanghai has already become one of the most important global innovation and financial center” Tony Chen, CEO of Biotop stated “and relocating to Shanghai will help Biotop build a strong foundation for marketing Biotop’s line of safety products around the world”.

The relocation will not impact any ongoing business activities and will be completed sometime during the second quarter.

Biotop specializes in medical device research and manufacturing, specifically the safety syringes. Its products are sold internationally (fifty per cent of its markets are exports) and are well distributed in China.
