At Biotop, we make corporate social responsibility an integral part of our business operations and strategies. We have partnered with several international non-governmental organizations and institutes to promote the use of safety syringes and to ensure safe injections worldwide. Biotop will continue providing assistance for the improvement of living environment and the creation of healthier communities.
Product donation
Starting in 2005, Biotop has been donated safety syringes to Asian Liver Center (ALC) at Stanford University for its Jade Ribbon Campaign which was launched since 2001 to help spread awareness about hepatitis B and liver cancer in Asian and Pacific Islands.
In 2005 Biotop donated a decent amount of safety syringes to ALC’s hepatitis B vaccine program in JiuZhaiGou, China to help eliminate the spread of hepatitis B in the rural areas in China. Biotop will continue to donate safety syringes to the campaign to help the local communities to fight for hepatitis B and liver cancer.

Aside from sponsoring the syringes required by the China Hepatitis B project, Biotop also donate an unrestricted grant amounts to USD$ 55,000 to the ALC to support ALC’s efforts in China. The funds from Biotop will be used to support ALC’s interns who will be responsible for monitoring the vaccination program and to ensure program effectives. Along with the syringes and fund donation, Biotop will provide support on the product training sections, which not only can help the ALC interns and staff to effectively execute the vaccination project but also can promote the idea of safe injection in the regions.
